Child abuse is a serious problem in Poland. Fortunately, more and more people are beginning to notice the scale and effects of this phenomenon. As a society, we are becoming more aware, trying to be better parents, learning how to work together to create a childhood of power – without violence.
Violence against a child takes away their POWER because it destroys their sense of self-worth, security and trust in the world. A child who experiences violence loses faith in their own strengths and begins to perceive themselves as a person unworthy of love and respect.
The Childhood Without Violence campaign aims to counteract violence against children in Poland. It consists of nationwide and local educational and media activities, which will last from October 8 to November 19, 2024. The campaign is organized by the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation and the National Coalition for the Protection of Children. The main partner of the campaign is the Ombudsman for Children.
As part of our KIDS&Co. Health & Safety project, we wholeheartedly support this campaign and take part in it.
The campaign will end on November 19th this year on the International Day for the Prevention of Violence against Children. That day at 5:00 PM, buildings and other facilities throughout Poland will be illuminated in red. Our two facilities: in Warsaw at ul. Chłodna 51 and in Łódź at ul. Milionowa 4A will light up in red.
Let’s be together and mobilize society to prevent child abuse. Let’s educate ourselves so that POWER is with the child!
