Weekly Outline for Kindergarten Reception Class

Polish Language Education

  • Engaging activities and exercises in letter recognition and reading using the “Effective Surprise” method. This approach introduces new letters, utilizes diverse worksheets without textbooks, includes phonetic exercises, and incorporates word play.
  • Effective Surprise is an educational method focused on stimulating children’s curiosity by asking questions and involving them in exploring the world in an active, creative way. Its main goal is to spark a natural desire for learning, analysis, and problem-solving, fostering critical thinking and independence.
  • In practice, Effective Surprise involves presenting children with unusual situations, surprising questions, or experiments that provoke curiosity and encourage thinking. Rather than providing ready-made answers, teachers support children in seeking solutions, engaging their emotions and senses.
  • This method works excellently in combination with project-based education, reading instruction, math activities, and language exercises, stimulating comprehensive development in preschoolers.

English and Spanish Language Education

English

Daily short sessions using the Jolly Phonics method, which teaches English sounds and letters through singing songs, rhymes, and phonetic exercises. Jolly Phonics is a reading and writing teaching method based on learning phonemes (sounds) in a multisensory way. Children learn to recognize and connect letter sounds with their written forms, allowing them to quickly and effectively develop reading and writing skills. Basic elements include:

  • Phonetic Sounds — Children learn 42 sounds, including single letters and letter combinations like “sh” or “ai.” Each sound is paired with a gesture or movement to aid memory.
  • Blending Sounds — Children learn to blend sounds to form words, accelerating reading skills.
  • Sound Identification — The method teaches children to recognize sounds in words and write them, supporting writing skills.
  • Letter Writing — Gradual introduction to writing letters in a specific order.
  • Learning is conducted in a playful atmosphere, with songs, movement, and hands-on activities, making the process natural and effective for children.
  • Language Play with Emys — Interactive sessions with the robot Emys, helping children learn foreign languages, solve puzzles, and develop logical thinking skills through language-based games.
