Natural Bilingualism

Our English teaching curriculum is closely linked to the Polish-speaking education one and their content is intertwined. It uses the method of early immersion, i.e. the “immersion” of children in English in a manner similar to that in which babies and young children acquire their mother tongue.

The Power of Bilingual Kids

Children get to know the world around them in two languages, because during their stay in the kindergarten they are accompanied by both the Polish-speaking and the English-speaking teacher. The foreign language is used by children to communicate and, at the same time, is a tool that helps them explore and learn about the world. By the age of 11, children taught using this method achieve bilingualism almost identical to that of native speakers. It is, however, important that they start their education by the age of 4 at the latest.

Whilst teaching the English language we adopt a project method that develops interest, the ability of the child and most importantly allows them to remember the language easier. In our nursery classes we follow a British model to teaching through learning reading through which allows children to start with learning syllables and ending with them being to read with ease.

By carefully selecting all elements and appropriate educational aids and linking them to the topics that spark children’s curiosity, we have created a programme that will help children learn English in no time at all.

Our partners in teaching English

Leonardo School — creators of the Leo English method, which uses the natural process of acquiring language skills by children to communicate in English. Our kindergarten in Łódź, which we run for Infosys Poland, has acquired the status of a model kindergarten that uses this method of teaching!

Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji (Foundation for the Development of the Education System) manages the international Erasmus+ Programme under which teachers from European countries visit our selected facilities to teach English and develop students’ communication skills.

Edu Planet — experts supporting our efforts in teaching by using English children’s literature. By importing from Great Britain books written by award-winning authors such as Eric Carle, Julia Donaldson or Max Velthuijs, Orchard Toys board games and puzzles as well as other educational materials, they effectively support our programme and ensure that children have everyday contact with living English.

National Geographic Learning — Welcome to Our World it is a three-part course for preschool children. The series was inspired by traditional children’s songs. Little students will love National Geographic photos and illustrations and break the language barrier by singing songs with their peers from around the world. The course offers a set of convenient tools for the teacher, such as flashcards, big books for reading in a group and a series of training methodological videos on the myNGconnect platform. Thanks to Welcome to Our World, preschoolers will be looking forward to the next English lessons.

Cooperation with international kindergartens

England, Ireland, Spain, Ukraine, Indonesia, Thailand

These are the international bilingual kindergartens we cooperate with in order to exchange best practices related to the methods and techniques of teaching and bringing up children. Children are encouraged to talk to their peers in other countries using interactive whiteboards. The aim of this cooperation is to shape children’s own identity and ability to function in a group. We want to interest children in different cultures and customs and teach them to be open-minded and tolerant of different races and religions.

We use the language immersion technique. From the moment they start their education in our facilities, children are immersed in an English-speaking environment. All-day contact with a foreign language helps them acquire it in a natural way.
