Your first encounter with a preschool or nursery offer can be overwhelming. Adaptation, educational programs, English language learning, future skills… – for many parents, these are new terms that aren’t always clear at first glance. In this article, we’ll guide you step by step to help you understand what these terms really mean and what to look for when choosing the perfect place for your child.
When choosing a preschool or nursery for your child, one of the key aspects of the offer should be adaptation. What should you pay attention to? First and foremost, how the facility approaches this stage. The first days and weeks in a new environment can determine whether the child enjoys preschool and feels safe there.
Adaptation is more than just getting a child used to being separated from their parent. It’s a supportive process in which teachers – in cooperation with parents – help the child find their place in a new reality with new rules, people, and daily routines. Good preschools treat adaptation as an individual stage in a child’s development – without rush or pressure, in an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance.
At KIDS&Co. centers, the adaptation process is always tailored to the individual needs and pace of each child. Our goal is for every child to feel comfortable and safe – whether it’s their first day or fifth week.
Before a child feels secure, a range of emotional and physical reactions may occur – all of which are natural responses to a new situation. The most commonly observed behaviors include:
All of this falls within the adaptation norm and usually subsides within a few weeks – sometimes even after just a few days. What matters is giving your child time, attention, and trust.

If you want to consciously choose a place where your child will feel comfortable, check whether the offer includes:
At KIDS&Co., we understand how important a good start is – which is why we focus on individual approaches, the child’s emotional comfort, and cooperation with parents from day one.
Parents often see mentions of English lessons in preschool offers. But what does that really mean in practice? What should you expect? Learning English from an early age is extremely important – toddlers absorb languages much faster and more easily than older children. In many facilities, English classes are held several times a week as organized sessions with a teacher – kids learn basic vocabulary, simple phrases, and songs in English.
At KIDS&Co. nurseries and preschools, in addition to a Polish-speaking teacher, there is always a English-speaking teacher who communicates with the children in English. This method is called language immersion – being “immersed” in a foreign language. Children learn to freely talk about topics close to their hearts. As a result, they acquire a foreign language quickly and naturally – a lesson once or twice a week wouldn’t give them the same fluency and ease in speaking as spending several hours daily with an English-speaking educator. After just a few months, they can hold simple conversations in English.
Early adaptation in a comfortable bilingual environment is also beneficial for children who have recently moved to Poland or whose parents speak English at home. This gives children great comfort – the transition from home to nursery/preschool happens without unnecessary stress.

Every preschool offers its own activity program to support child development and prepare them for the next stages of education. However, it’s worth checking whether these activities are truly varied and meet the individual needs of young children. Nursery and preschool-aged children learn best through play – which is why daily activities should combine educational elements with the joy of exploration.
At KIDS&Co. nurseries and preschools, children take part in activities that develop motor skills, speech, creativity, and interpersonal skills. At KIDS&Co., your child:
At KIDS&Co., activities are led by experienced staff and aligned with the preschool educational framework. Additionally, you can choose extracurricular classes for your child during their regular hours. Large-format art, coding with robots, acrobatics – be sure to check what classes are available at your local KIDS&Co. preschool.
