Positive Discipline

Positive Discipline is a classic educational method has been developed over the 30 years. Its roots go back to the individual psychology of the Austrian psychotherapist Alfred Adler, who was one of the first to become interested in the individual in a wider social context and believed that all people have one basic need: they want to belong and be valued.

5 Fundamental Principles of Positive Discipline are:

  1. Helps children feel connected and belonged, helps them feel important in family and community.
  2. Positive discipline is respectful and demanding at the same time: soft and firm, that is, hard for the problem and soft for the person.
  3. It is effective for the long term: it takes into account what the child thinks, feels, learns, and makes his own decisions, and he decides how to act in the future to be successful.
  4. Teaches us important social and life skills: respect, caring for others, problem solving, cooperation, and the ability to engage in household chores, kindergarten, school, and the larger community.
  5. Invites children to discover how gifted and competent they are. It encourages them to constructively use their strength

Let’s meet!

We invite all of you to an individual meeting with the headteacher. This will be a great opportunity to find out about our educational offer, ask questions, and visit the kindergarten. You can book one visit for a given day.
