The child does not want to go to preschool

Preschool period is often a period of increased rebellion, strong developmental changes, therefore a child at this age will not always be nice and polite as their parents would expect. The toddler has their bad days, often cries, screams, and loudly manifests hesitancy going to preschool. What underlies such behavior may be much more than just a temporary problem.

There might be many reasons. There is usually fear at the bottom. If a child does not know why they  are coming to preschool and for what purpose, the fear of preschool is something natural. You should learn how to communicate with your child, listen and draw conclusions for their good. The child is afraid of what they do not know. It’s perfectly natural to feel the fear of going to preschool for nursery for the first time. Suddenly, it’s a time where mum or dad leave them alone in a  new environment.

Often, preschools organise adaptation days for the new children. The child then has a chance to see the facility, meet peers, and the teachers, with parents having their backs. It is very important to take part in such activities and support the child at every step. Show them how the setting looks like , what toys there are. It’s a chance to meet future friends and teachers . Then the child being  left alone in preschool will not cause as severe fear.

Let’s meet!

We invite all of you to an individual meeting with the headteacher. This will be a great opportunity to find out about our educational offer, ask questions, and visit the kindergarten. You can book one visit for a given day.
