Knowledge of foreign languages is highly valued nowadays. First of all, thanks to them we can get to know other countries, and people, and also they can help us in personal or business development. Also, keep in mind that language learning – in itself can be very enjoyable and developmental. But before we delve into the linguistic mysteries, we have to make one of the most difficult choices – what foreign language do we want to learn? And why?
The second decade of the 21st century does not make this task any easier. On the one hand, we are bombarded from everywhere by English, which is slowly becoming an international language. On the other hand, we are tempted by German, French, or even Chinese. As a result of recent events in the world, the Russian and Ukrainian languages are also returning. But really – is that all? Of course not. Experts estimate that around 7,000 different languages are currently in use worldwide. Then which one to choose? And it depends on our preferences, time possibilities, interests, and needs. If you do not want to learn what everyone around you, and you do not intend to go outside the zone of European culture – maybe this is a good time to take an interest in the Spanish language 😊
Con idiomas, siempre estás en casa.
Thanks to languages, you are always at home.
Spanish is spoken in more than 20 countries in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. It is spoken by around 400 million people every day, making it the second most popular language in the world (currently losing out to only Chinese, which is spoken by over a billion people every day!)
CInterestingly, you will speak Spanish not only in Spain or Latin America, but also in Equatorial Guinea, Cuba, Gibraltar, Belize, Andorra, and certainly in almost every city in the USA.
Un idioma te pone en un pasillo durante toda la vida. Dos idiomas te abren todas las puertas a lo largo del camino.
Language puts you in the hallway for life. Two languages open all the doors along the way.
Increasingly, the strength of the Spanish language is business. Many companies, looking for new markets, are expanding their activities to Spanish-speaking countries. Spanish is the official language of the United Nations, the Organization of American States, and the Union of South American nations. It is not difficult, then, to be tempted to say that knowledge of the Spanish language allows you to develop business contacts and create new investments around the world.
El idioma es el mapa de carreteras de una cultura. Te dice de dónde viene su gente y hacia dónde va.
Language is the road map of a culture. He tells you where his people come from and where they’re going.
The advantage of Spanish is that it is a very sonorous language and easy to catch in the ear. An additional advantage may be that it is pronounced as it is written (a characteristic of phonetic languages). Of course, there are minor differences between regions (e.g. in Spain itself) and states, but this does not interfere with anything. In addition, in comparison, for example, to the Polish language, it has simple and understandable grammar. Moreover, if you already know one of the Romance languages (or are a native of it). and you already speak French, Italian, English, or German, you won’t have much trouble learning Spanish. Thanks to Latin roots, they have quite a lot of expressions and single related words.
Aprender otro idioma es como convertirse en otra persona.
Learning a foreign language is like becoming a different person.
Knowledge of Spanish and fluent use of it will ensure success in discovering far exotic places of our world. Who among us has not dreamed at least once to drink coffee in Barcelona, looking at the beauty of the cathedral la Sagrada Familia, eating real Mexican food Quesadilla, or dancing on the colorful streets of Havana? Spanish is the key to learning new cultures, and customs (Dia de Los Muertos), as well as new friends around the world…
Learning foreign languages is a very pleasant and rewarding development path, but it must be remembered that it is not one of the easiest. After all, no one is born with the magical ability to assimilate foreign sounds, words, or phrases in the proverbial five minutes. We must keep in mind that learning a foreign language should be good fun – especially when we want to infect our children with this passion.
At our KIDS&Co. kindergartens we know it perfectly! Therefore, we suggest learning Spanish together with Mini Colorin Colorado. Addressed mainly to preschoolers, this method of learning is interesting, child-friendly, and focused on communication. Well organized and thoughtful, and most importantly, cares about the student, and in the process of his education tries to ensure the participation of the parent.
Each lesson is dynamic fun and a boost of positive energy. Children naturally learn a lot of words and expressions, as well as learn spontaneous language reactions to various situations. An interesting solution is the fact that the student is one of the heroes of the textbook and uses his own experiences and photos in the lessons, and the teacher can support himself with new technologies, videos, and a multimedia platform.
So, are you ready to discover the curiosities of the Spanish language and fully immerse yourself in it with us? 😊 Nós convidamos!
We invite all of you to an individual meeting with the headteacher. This will be a great opportunity to find out about our educational offer, ask questions, and visit the kindergarten. You can book one visit for a given day.
