Respect is a vital part of a parent–child relationship. Parents should teach their children to have respect towards others and themselves. In what way can you teach this to your child? If you want your little one to respect you from the start, treat them as human beings, not as your property. Respect their individuality and avoid manipulation. Remember that you must earn your child’s respect. Help them build self-respect as well. The child should know that they have the right to be treated well by others. Do not hesitate to teach your child to be polite. How to do it?
Most importantly — you must set a good example for them through your actions. Children imitate their parents’ behaviour, so it is vital to provide them with a positive role model. You can also explain to your child that having good manners are, in most cases, more effective when trying to achieve our goals than poor behaviour. If you want your child to show respect towards others, remember to praise them for when they do so. However, you should explain what you didn’t like about their words or gestures when they act up. Showing a little consistency is enough for your child to understand what you expect from them quickly.
We invite all of you to an individual meeting with the headteacher. This will be a great opportunity to find out about our educational offer, ask questions, and visit the kindergarten. You can book one visit for a given day.
